On the afternoon of November 22, the inaugural session of the "Intelligent Enterprise, Future Prospects" Entrepreneur Sharing Series (Phase I), organized by the Junyuan College of the School of Intelligent Manufacturing at Jiangnan University, was successfully held in Xiangqian Hall, Room B101. Alumni enterprise Jiangsu Guoxia Technology Co., Ltd.'s Executive President Liu Ziye and President Zhang Xi were invited as keynote speakers for the first session. Attendees included Zhou Yunlong, Director of the Social Cooperation and Alumni Liaison Office of Jiangnan University; Wang Jue, Director of the Jiangyin Campus Management Office; Xu Jing, Deputy Party Secretary and Vice Dean of the School; and Hu Yanping, a teacher from the School of Foreign Studies. Faculty representatives, undergraduate students, and graduate students of the school also participated in the event. The activity was hosted by Gao Xin, Head of the Student Affairs Office of the School.
Director Zhou Yunlong delivered the opening speech, expressing a warm welcome and sincere gratitude to the outstanding alumni entrepreneurs who have consistently cared for and supported the development of their alma mater. Director Zhou emphasized that while entrepreneurship is challenging, these alumni have always kept their alma mater in mind and actively contributed to its educational growth. This donation will be allocated to the construction and development of the Junyuan College within the School of Intelligent Manufacturing and to supporting student education. He highlighted that the donation from Guoxia Technology marks the first contribution received since the inauguration of the Jiangyin Xiakewan Campus, setting a positive precedent for the new campus in attracting social resources and fostering development. Furthermore, he expressed hope for deepening the university-enterprise collaboration model, closely integrating academic research with practical industry needs, and driving progress in the development of intelligent manufacturing disciplines and talent cultivation in the new era.
Guoxia Technology's Executive President Liu Ziye and President Zhang Xi extended their warm congratulations on the successful launch of the Entrepreneur Sharing Series and expressed their support for the future development of their alma mater. They emphasized that actively giving back to society and nurturing education reflects the company's commitment to collaborating sincerely with universities to cultivate outstanding talent from the source, fostering a virtuous cycle integrating "industry, academia, research, and application", and jointly making strides in the field of smart energy. As alumni, this donation also embodies their deep affection for their alma mater. Growing the enterprise while expressing gratitude to the university is the best interpretation of "remembering one's roots".
Subsequently, representatives from both the university and the enterprise formally signed the donation agreement and strategic cooperation agreement. Director Zhou Yunlong and President Zhang Xi represented the university and the enterprise respectively, while Vice Dean Xu Jing and Executive President Liu Ziye represented the school and the enterprise in completing the signing ceremony. To further strengthen university-enterprise collaboration, the Junyuan College of the School of Intelligent Manufacturing specially appointed three alumni—Feng Lizheng, Zhang Xi, and Liu Ziye—as "Enterprise Mentors". Zhou Yunlong and Wang Jue presented the plaque for the "Jiangnan University Undergraduate Employment Internship Base" to Guoxia Technology.
Following the signing ceremony, Ms. Hu Yanping, the university English teacher of the two alumni and a faculty member at the School of Foreign Studies of Jiangnan University, introduced the growth journey of alumni Liu Ziye and Zhang Xi. Subsequently, alumni Liu Ziye and Zhang Xi provided a detailed overview of the development history and research directions of Guoxia Technology, sharing personal university stories and entrepreneurial experiences. They encouraged students to embrace exploration, dare to innovate and connect with like-minded peers while showcasing their talents.
After the sharing session, students actively raised questions and sought advice from the alumni on topics such as career development and industry trends. Drawing from their personal experiences, the two alumni shared insights on cultivating a positive mindset in the workplace and strategies for addressing challenges, offering guidance and advice for the students' career planning. The entire exchange was interactive and enlightening.
